CBSE Merit ScholarshipScheme for Professional Studies and Undergraduate Studies


The objective is to provide scholarships for professional studies likemedicine and engineering in institutes participating in the CBSE conducted AllIndia Pre Medical/ All India Engineering Entrance Examinations, or Centralgovernment controlled/ aided institutions. A candidate is considered aseligible if he or she is on the merit list of the AIPMT and AIEEE examinationsconducted by the CBSE board. The scholarship for undergraduate studies areprovided to students who have passed the CBSE Class XII examination forpursuing undergraduate level studies in a central/ state university or anyuniversity recognized by the UGC. A candidate is consider as eligible inaccordance with the merit list of the Class XII examination conducted by theCBSE.


The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhinotifies the following scholarship schemes on the basis of examinationsconducted by the Board in the year 2008.


1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for +2


2. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies.


3. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under Graduate Studies for Single Girl Child


• The details, eligibility conditions of each scheme are given in Board’s Website www.cbse.nic.in which may be referred to. Eligible students may submit the requiste documents to the Board on or before 31.08.2008.• The Scholars of all the schemes who have been granted scholarship by the Board during the previous years may also submit the required documents for renewal of scholarship.


The last date for receipt of all the documents is 31.08.2008.


The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi invites applications from eligible students for award of the following scholarship schemes on the basis of examination conducted by the Board in the year 2008.


1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for single Girl Child for +2


2. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIPMT).


3. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIEEE).


4. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under Graduate Studies for Single Girl Children.


The details, eligibility conditions of each scheme are given in Board’sWebsite www.cbse.nic.in which may be referred to. The scholars of all theschemes who have been granted scholarships by the Board in respect of the abovesaid schemes in the previous years may submit their applications for therenewal before 31st August, 2008.The details may be seen in the Board’s website


Single Girl Child Scholarshipfrom CBSE
Type I
CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for class X pass in 2008
Granted during study of class XI
(Single Girl Child Scheme)
Eligibility:
All conditions to be fulfilled by the Applicant
(i) The applicant should be an Indian national.
(ii)The applicant should be a single Girl child
(iii) The applicant should be the only child of her parent.
(iv) Should be a student of CBSE in class X.
(v) Scored 60% or more marks in Class X examinations 2008 conducted by theCBSE.
(vi)Currently studying in CBSE affiliated schools where the tuition fee for X standard was not more than Rs.1000/- per monthduring the Academic year 2007-08. In the next 02 years the total enhancement oftuition fee in such schools shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged in the year 2007-08.

Rs.500
Duration:Two year (To be renewed subject to eligibility)
Type II
CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under-graduate studies
Eligibility:
All conditions are required to be fulfilled by the applicant
Eligibility:

(i)The applicant should be an Indian national.
(ii)The applicant should be a single Girl child
(iii) The applicant should be the only child of her parent.
(ii) Applicant should be a student of CBSE Board in class XII
(iii) scored 60% or more marks in Class XII, 2008 examinations conducted by theCBSE
(iv) Currently Pursuing under graduate course(non-medical/non-engineering) in any Central/State Government University or those recognized by UGC/AICTE
Value Per Month: Rs.500
Duration : Three years
Signature:
All the applications must be signed by the applicant. Unsigned applicationswill be rejected.
Attestation:
All the applications must be certified by the Principal of the school where thestudent is presently studying alongwith his signature and stamp.
Bank Account Details:
Applicants should write their Bank Account number with detailed address of theBank. In case the applicant is minor they can hold a joint Account with his/herparent.
Documents to be sent with the Application:
An attested copy of marksheet of class X
An affidavit from the parent that the candidate is the only child of herparents on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- duly sworn in before Firstclass Judicial Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate should be submittedalongwith the application. Applications with Affidavit attested by Notary willbe rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
An additional photograph mentioning the name of student and name offather/mother on its back should be sent with Application form. It should bestapled on a Plain paper and pinned with the application form.
Where to send the Applications
The duly filled in proforma be sent in an envelope super scribing “Applicationfor Class XI Merit Scholarship” on left to the “Secretary, CBSE, ShikshaKendra, 2 Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110092” by Regd Post.
Change in Address
Any change in address must be immediately reported to “Secretary, CBSE, ShikshaKendra, 2 Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110092.
